CAMBRIAN COLLEGE
Founded in 1966, Cambrian College is located in the mining town of Sudbury in northern Ontario and has a total enrollment of more than 14,000 students. More than 4,500 full-time students are enrolled in more than 80 majors, and more than 9,500 students are enrolled in 900 part-time courses. The College of Applied Arts and Sciences is recognized by the Ministry of Education of China as a Canadian public college, one of the first institutions under the Canadian Government's Student Partnership Program (SPP), and is officially accredited by Immigration Canada as a DLI college for international students.
Cambrian College focuses on the development of applied technical professionals, providing job search skills training for graduating students, resume writing and interview skills, job search services, career counseling, and visa extension services.
Cambridge College has credit transfer and dual-enrollment agreements with many of Canada's leading universities. Students can obtain both college and university diplomas within 4-5 years. The program is designed to produce students with a combination of applied skills (college) and theoretical knowledge (university).
Cambrian College provides students with a variety of convenient amenities, including a main service center, 24-hour front desk, lounge, common kitchen, laundry center, and fast and efficient facility maintenance services. Students can experience excellent services and rich campus life. The College also has a 6,000 square-foot, two-story Athletic Center located next to Mr. Sub's restaurant, which offers modern weight training facilities, three international squash courts, cardio equipment rooms, functional training rooms, stretching equipment, saunas and other personal fitness programs such as yoga and Pilates. It is worth mentioning that all students can enter the sports center for free during the school year with their student number and attend yoga and Pilates training classes.
The Cadburys campus in Sudbury has all the infrastructure of a large city; including an international airport, beautiful outdoor public spaces, a wide variety of sports fields, over 100 local sports or athletic teams, active recreational activities and a friendly atmosphere. The city has world-class facilities such as Science North, one of Canada's most popular tourist attractions, and Health Sciences North, an international teaching hospital affiliated with the Northern Ontario Medical Institute.
In order to better expand its international education, in 2005, Cambrian College partnered with Hanson International College to open the Toronto campus of Hanson International College in downtown Toronto. Kim Chi College does not require TOEFL or IELTS scores; if students do not have language scores, they can first enroll in the College's language classes and the College can grant dual admissions (language + major) to those who meet the requirements. Cambridge Hanson International College is an internationally acclaimed college under the direct supervision of the Ontario Ministry of Education in Canada. The College offers business administration, hospitality management, business accounting, tourism management, and graduate programs in human resources, all of which are job market oriented. The College also offers ESL certification programs in Ontario. More than 80% of its graduates successfully transfer to immigration status, and more than 50% of its students eventually choose to continue their studies at university after obtaining immigration status. The Toronto and Vancouver campuses of Cambridge-Hanson International College employ a number of Asian participants to manage the campuses, to better understand the needs of Chinese students, to care about their lives, to help Chinese students overcome language barriers, and to bridge the cultural gap, making it the first choice for Chinese students to study in Canada.
